Šebela, Vojtěch ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of the Roman Catholic Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in Brno Líšeň. The building will complement the needs of the Salesian community, which has been operating in the nearby Salesko youth house for almost 30 years and focuses on educating young people using methods from Don Bosco. The design of the church also envisages the construction of facilities for parishioners and accommodation for Salesians. It should also serve not only the current community, but also the general public. The design offers a solution how to modernize a building of these dimensions into an urban complex such as a housing estate in modern times. All this with an emphasis on minimizing the negative impacts on existing residents who use the surrounding areas for recreation. The building will consist of two functional units. The first will consist of a church building with a capacity of 300 seated and 100 standing parishioners. The second part will be a parish center with a community hall for 100 people. There will also be apartments for priests, a hobby workshop and parish offices.
Christ's Sacrifice: a Paradigm of Life as the True Worship
Sluková, Jana ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Matějec, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the work is to present Christ's sacrifice as an example and model for the Christian life on the basis of the study of biblical texts. The thesis is divided into chapters, the first of which discusses what a sacrifice is, what it is for, what its character may be, and how worship in the Old and New Testaments is related to the offering of sacrifice. The second chapter focuses on Old Testament sacrifices, the development of sacrificial rites, the handling of sacrificial gifts, and explains the meaning of sacrifices offered to God in the Old Testament. The third chapter gives attention to the prefigurations of Christ's sacrifice in the Old Testament, and the fourth deals in detail with Jesus' sacrifice, which begins with his incarnation and culminates in his death on the cross. The fifth chapter looks to the New Testament letters and psalms for concrete ways to follow Jesus in daily life. Christ is the pattern and image after which man was created. He took on human flesh to serve people and to show them in himself what a life focused on the good of others looks like. The Christian is called to follow Christ and has a chance to do so the more deeply he understands the meaning of his sacrifice. This is what the work seeks to contribute to.

GUTWIRTHOVÁ, Kateřina
The diploma thesis investigates the possibilities of the adjustment of the forms of catholic liturgy, mainly Eucharistic liturgy, to the youth. The thesis is divided into five thematic parts. The basic characteristic of liturgy in general is to be found in the first part. The second part contains definition of youth and the results of research focused on the relationship of the youth to the liturgy. The third part describes three different concepts of youth divine service, which try to enable young people to build personal relationship with God. The following part deals with the relationship of young people to the liturgy and the parish community and possible adjustment of the divine service for youth within the church prescriptions. The alternative Holy Mass for youth is analysed in the last part of the thesis. The diploma thesis has proven that it is necessary to celebrate the liturgy adjusted to the needs of the youth and that it is possible and even advisable to use these adjustments even to the Holy Mass. At the same time the thesis has shown various possibilities how to adjust the liturgy to the youth.

WINSTED, Margareta
There have been four Christian churches active in the area of Černý Most housing development in Prague 14 since 2000 {--} the Church of Brethren, Christian Community Prague, Roman Catholic Church and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The work describes the rise, growth and activities of these communities between years 2000 and 2007, focusing on the Church of Brethren. The first part generally characterizes the churches, their rise and size. Next I described the churches´ activities focusing on the care of believers and their evangelistic effort. The next interesting fact is the cooperation of the churches and support of their educational and social activities from the Municipal Office of Prague 14. To give the total view of the religious atmosphere in Černý Most I mentioned activities of the Muslim community and the Jehovah{\crq}s Witnesses central office. Therefore the overall position of Christian communities in the anonymous environment of the housing development is found very demanding.

The Second Liturgy of Czechoslovak Hussite Church
Basl, Vojtěch ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Tvrdek, Petr (referee)
Presented work has in its first part tried to evaluate both textual and theological development of the liturgy in the Czechoslovak (Hussite) church. It has focused on Farsky's translation of the Roman Mass from 1919, first liturgical reforms of the young church, liturgical diversification and unifiction in newly conceived liturgy by Karel Farsky in 1923. The work further follows development of such liturgy, especially its revision in 1939 and attempts of liturgical renewal in seventies and eighties of the twentieth century. The final conclusion of the thesis resides in stating that revision was crucial for blurring certain parts of Farsky's liturgy. It was not conciliated with Učení, official doctrinal document of the Church, and also didn't stay in line with its origin. The main part of the work is focused on analysis of singular parts of Second Liturgy s it was adopted by Assembly in 1991. We attempt to compare this liturgy with earlier versions as mentioned above. This thesis particularly states, that recent version of the Second Liturgy presents two parts of the liturgy of the Word, when the first reading is sharply distinguished from the rest. Furthermore, Opening antiphon (Introit) and Communium antiphon (Communio) are misleadingly placed. In fact, only Offertory antiphon (Offertorium) is located...

The thesis presents firstly the political and historical situation in the Late Roman Empire in which the Church was granted liberty. Secondly, the life of the Pope Innocent I before and during his pontificate is presented and Nachleben of Innocent as a saint man, the style of his letters is involved too. In the same chapter is his pontificate described and discussed through letters, which he sent to various groups of bishops. These are divided into the following groups: Eastern bishops, bishops in Europe, boshops of Africa and the letters as a support for his friend John Chrysostom. In all these fields Innocent treats self-confidently, with the authority of the Roman bishop, but the kinds of claims to his authority depends on geographical location in which the letters are sent. Alongside the contribution of the basic introduction to the letters of the Pope Innocent I this thesis also offers the short excursion to the philological analysis and the selected theological topics (especially liturgical) of his letters.
